Global organizations and regulated industries trust RRD to reduce complexity and drive audience connections across the entire customer journey.\n RRD is looking for a Logistics Planner to join our Team!\nThe ideal candidate will establish and optimize transportation load plans for customers and carriers, plan and ensure efficiency with customer orders and process shipments in the most cost effective manner while meeting customer delivery expectations. He/She will ensure efficient distribution of products to internal and external users, in a manner consistent with RRD's goals and objectives.\nResponsibilities\nLogistic Support:\nEstablish and optimize transportation plans for customers.\nExamine Transportation Orders for errors and conformance to specifications, resolve queries and crosscheck all Transportation Orders with original charts.\nDevelop efficient transportation plans for freight consolidation using OTM Software.\nAnalyze orders and build shipments to optimize freight cost.\nAdministrative Support:\nMaintain communication with Operational Leaders and Customer Service team and Carrier Relations team regarding load planning and scheduling constraints.\nManage relationship with carriers and provide performance and cost feedback with intent to improve relationship.\nProvide after-hours and weekend assistance as necessary.\nCommunication/Other:\nCommunicate effectively with involved parties (Manufacturing/Scheduling/Shipping/Carriers/Consignees).\nAttend/facilitate weekly scheduled meeting with the Transportation Team.\nMinimum - High school diploma or equivalent is required\nPreferred - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in logistics, supply chain or business-related field is preferred\nAt least 1 year of logistics work experience.\nExperience with Oracle Transportation Management or similar transportation management system\nExperience in transportation routing, scheduling, dispatching and load planning.\nAbility to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and agility handle last minute changes.\nProficiency with MS Office and Google Drive.\nEffective interpersonal skills with branch counterparts.\nGood analytical skills.\nStrong basic math ability, basic geographic knowledge, ability to multitask, strong organization/follow-up skills, effective written & verbal communication.\n RRD's current salary range for this role is $55,700 to $83,600/ year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
