Help maintain\nthe warehouse and inventory of products and/or customer supplied materials. Assist with training and\ncontinuous improvement efforts.\nPick or package a variety of printed materials or related items using a variety of packing procedures and techniques.\nFollow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work. Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.\nOperate computers and relevant warehouse management software.\nPerform related tasks such as placing labels on packages, putting manuals into binders, and handling boxes for final product. Ensure accurate shipping information is attached and packages are shipped according to specified schedule. \nPlace, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets and/or in containers, bins, and bulk storage. \nMeet established productivity and quality standards.\nIdentify potential issues and involve department Lead and/or management to determine an appropriate solution.\nParticipate in continuous training and development of employees and temporary labor.\nCount and sort various product items.\nMay feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels or other in-process product to and from the equipment in the area assigned. \nLoad and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. May load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools. \nConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other device. May occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.\nMay assist with special projects or more complex customer orders.\nAssist with maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n High School Diploma or GED preferred\n1+ year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required\nMust have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.\nMust have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental procedures and/or methods when completing assignments. \nBasic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.\nAble to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee. \nAble to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.\nSkill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.\nBasic skill in the use of shrink-wrap or strapping equipment’s, manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment.\nBasic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.\nMust be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.\nMust be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nThe salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $15.51 - $18.56 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
