With 22,000 clients, including 93% of the Fortune 100, and 32,000 employees across 28 countries, RRD brings the expertise, execution, and scale designed to transform customer touchpoints into meaningful moments of impact.\n Establish the production process for commercial print work produced.\nSupply clear, understandable job layouts, tickets, purchase orders, etc.\nCalculate production times after considering factors such as size, quantity, paper stock, art, and number of colors, and outside service/finishing requirements\nCoordinate the manufacturing of jobs with outside service suppliers after negotiating pricing and scheduling of materials.\nWork closely with managers, supervisors, and production personnel to develop, review and/or confirm information regarding various manufacturing plans.\nEvaluate pricing from outside vendors.\nParticipate in identifying new outside vendors with capabilities that exceed or meet current supplier capability.\nWork closely with managers, supervisors, and production personnel to develop, review and/or confirm new, improved planning and manufacturing methods.\nFollowing up on jobs to evaluate why they performed better or worse than planned and incorporate the knowledge gained from this evaluation into the estimating/planning processes.\nCreate press imposition layouts\nCalculate stock usage per press and bindery production standards\nReview lasers, check color break, page count, size, crossovers, trim, etc.\nResolve issues and consult with sales, customer service, prepress, press or bindery staff to resolve issues affecting production\nComplete job ticket documentation in system\n 3+ years experience job planning for a commercial print operation, resulting in an in-depth understanding of web and sheetfed print, bindery and digital print processes, capabilities and workflow.\nSolid understanding of web and sheetfed commercial print, 4-color process, imposition, layouts, bindery processes (trim, folding configuration, etc.), plus working knowledge of paper and paper calculation.\nExcellent problem-solving ability and the skills required to creatively resolve competing priorities and workflow issues. Sound decision-making skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to learn and leverage new systems.\nStrong analytical and mathematical skills.\nHigh degree of organization, accuracy and dependability.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nAbility to work additional hours as needed\n The national pay range for this role is $69,000.00 - $106,300.00 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.
