The company upholds the highest industry standards and RS2’s in-house designed payments solution is the software of choice by many of the world’s leading and most innovative banks and financial institutions.\nRole Overview\nReporting to the Senior Software Development Manager, within the Technical Unit, the Senior Application Developer - Online Switch will be developing and maintaining first class solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions around the world.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nParticipating in the entire application life cycle whilst focusing on coding and debugging.\nBuilding and performing unit tests.\nBuilding reusable code and libraries for future use.\nClearly documenting solutions for all stakeholders.\nOptimizing of applications for maximum performance and scalability.\nCollaborating with other team members to establish objectives and design functional requirements.\nRequirements:\nA University Degree in IT or related professional qualifications.\nMinimum of 6+ years of work experience with the ability to use more than one development languages: C/C++, Lua, Ruby, SQL, PL/SQL.\nGood knowledge of software development life-cycle processes.\nGood knowledge of Linux.\nGood knowledge of NoSQL databases, ideally ScyllaDB and/or Cassandra would be considered an asset.\nGood knowledge of programming practices would be considered an asset.\nExperience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.\nStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize across different tasks and meeting deadlines as per business exigencies.\nStrong communication skills in both spoken and written English.\nInterest in learning how the payments industry works and exploring new trends within the industry.\nThink you’ve got what it takes?\nApply directly to get the conversation started!
