Our focus is on providing our customers with the best possible internet experience through a stable and high-speed fibre connection.\nA day in your life as the Network Engineering Manager:\nEnsure daily operational duties are fulfilled\nManaging a team of Network and Net-SysAdmin engineers\nOngoing maintenance and improvement of the RSAWEB network\nVendor management\nOverall planning of network rollout and associated tasks\nManaging of the RSAWEB network within budget parameters\nMaintain network stability and uptime of the RSAWEB network\nNetwork product support and ongoing development\nSecurity of the overall network\nExecution of the group network strategy\nInternal customer support\nAnd any other reasonable task\nEngineering Management \n\nThis role requires managing a team of highly skilled engineers and providing the necessary direction to ensure operational or project success.\nProviding leadership to the team which includes day-to-day management, cultivating the company culture and ensuring the team is successful\nWe encourage internal learning and on-the-job training. Engineering managers are required to provide coaching and necessary guidance to technical and non-technical staff.\nRequirements\nCCNP/CCSP certification with official CSCO number \n10+ years working within an ISP based environment\nExperience and knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (IOS)\nExperience and knowledge of Juniper routers and switches (JUNOS)\nExperience and knowledge of Extreme Networks switches (EXOS)\nExperience and knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting (IPv4 &IPv6)\nExperience and knowledge of Routing protocols including BGP and OSPF\nExperience and knowledge of MPLS and Metro Ethernet protocols\nExcellent analytical and troubleshooting ability\nExperience and knowledge of of Linux Servers\nExperience and knowledge of Radius (AAA)\nExperience and knowledge of VMWare and virtualization\nProficiency with source-control tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)\nFamiliar with monitoring systems/tools e.g. Netdata/Zabbix/Iris\nExperience leading a engineering team\nKnowledge of a wide variety of network solutions, standards and protocols\nExperience in working with multi-cultured employees\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nAbility to take ownership of projects and initiatives with minimal supervision\nAbility to work under pressure and is stress tolerant\nProject management experience\nCapacity planning and network optimization experience\nValid driver license and own transport\nExperience working in an entrepreneurial environment\nBenefits\nCompany contribution to Medical Aid \nRetirement Annuity contribution\nDiscounted Internet Connectivity\nFree Barista prepared coffee, breakfasts and snacks.\nEmployee Wellness Programme (Lyra).
