This position will be critical in defining radar system architectures, designing radar processing algorithms, and supporting integration into counter-defensive systems. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise and leadership skills to drive our radar projects from conception to completion.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge\nRadar Systems: In-depth knowledge of radar system architectures, including air-to-air and counter-defensive radar systems. Familiarity with radar system concepts such as detection, discrimination, track, and signal processing algorithms.\nAlgorithm Development: Strong understanding of radar processing algorithms, waveform design, and signal processing techniques.\nRF Engineering: Comprehensive understanding of Phased Array and Digital Beamforming Technology, as well as electronic protection methods.\nStatistical and Numerical Analysis: Ability to conduct statistical analysis of radar system performance data using real or simulated data.\nSystems Engineering: Expertise in the development of systems engineering artifacts such as System/Subsystem Requirements Documents (SRD), Architecture Diagrams, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP).\nSkills\nTechnical Leadership: Experience leading the development of radar systems, from architecture to implementation.\nSystems Engineering Tools: Proficiency with MATLAB, DOORS, and Cameo System Modeler.\nProject Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.\nTechnical Communication: Proficient in creating and delivering both informational and technical briefings. Technical writing experience in generating program and proposal documentation such as CONOPS, Test Plans, etc.\nProgramming and Modeling: Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools.\nCollaboration: Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative development environment, interacting effectively with internal and external customers across related programs.\nAbilities\nCustomer Interaction: Capacity to work closely with customers to define requirements, propose solutions, assess costs, and discuss system impacts and effectiveness.\nAdaptability: Aptitude for quickly adapting to new software and hardware environments relevant to radar and RF engineering.\nAttention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, especially when dealing with complex calculations, simulations, and design tasks.\nQualifications\nActive Secret Clearance.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; advanced degree is a plus.\nMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience in radar and RF engineering, preferably specializing in air-to-air radar systems.\nFamiliarity with missions such as active protection, vehicle protection, hostile fire detection, counter-UAV, counter-UAS, all-threat air surveillance, and 3D perimeter surveillance.\nExperience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.\nKnowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection techniques.\nExperience using Jira for task management and issue tracking.\nWork Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Salary-Exempt\nBenefits Package: We offer a top-tier benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, employer matching retirement plan, and more!\nWe are an equal opportunity employer. The projected compensation range for this position is $83,000- $199,690 (annualized USD).
