In this role, you'll help deliver innovative mechanical systems for projects across aviation, commercial, healthcare, science, corporate, and federal markets while working alongside architects, engineers, and designers in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, mentoring others, and building lasting client relationships while contributing to projects that have a lasting impact on the communities we serve.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll take ownership of mechanical design efforts from planning through construction while serving as a technical resource for both clients and project teams.\nResponsibilities include:\nLead the mechanical engineering design of complex building projects.\nPrepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.\nDesign HVAC and mechanical systems in accordance with applicable building codes and industry standards.\nCoordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery.\nParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and project planning.\nSupport proposals and business development efforts.\nReview engineering work for technical quality and mentor junior engineers.\nPerform quality control reviews and provide construction phase support, including field observations as needed.\nMaintain professional licensure and stay current with evolving codes, standards, and industry best practices.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.\nActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.\n7+ years of MEP building design experience.\nExperience designing portions of large, complex projects or managing multiple mid-sized projects.\nDemonstrated experience mentoring engineers and reviewing technical work.\nWorking knowledge of FBC, IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and related building codes.\nProficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.\nExperience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.\nExperience managing or supervising staff.\nExperience with both building and site design.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.\nDue to federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting business development and client engagement.\nAbility to obtain engineering licensure in multiple states.\nNCEES Record.\nWhy RS&H?
