{"id":1600265,"url":"https://alion.io/job/rsh-inc-senior-utilities-coordinator","title":"Senior Utilities Coordinator","company":{"id":2083203,"name":"RS&H","domain":"rsandh.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/rsandh","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"iCIMS","truth_index":null},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"senior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Charlotte, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":62000,"max_usd":123000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":1549},"experience_years_min":10,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false},{"name":"Outlook","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-01T19:00:18Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-01","last_verified_at":"2026-10-19T03:01:57Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":17,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":17},"description":"The Opportunity\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Utilities Coordinator to join our Infrastructure Practice in the Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office.\nAs a Senior Utilities Coordinator, you will perform utility coordination duties in planning, designing, contacting, and directing utility owners’ relocation efforts as it pertains to proposed roadway and bridge improvement projects.\nR esponsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nAssist with the identification, communication, and resolution of utility conflicts on various types of infrastructure projects.\nDevelop Utilities by Others (UbO) Plans and utility designs based upon input from utility owners and project manager.\nType, format, and organize project documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence.\nCreate and maintain paper and electronic files.\nApply company Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines and procedures.\nApply NCDOT Quality Assurance (QA) Quality Control (QC) guidelines and procedures.\nAssist with and conduct meetings and presentations.\nAssist with the management and coordination of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, schedules, and submittals.\nFrequent verbal/written communication between project managers, clients, and utility owners to ensure project schedules are met and are compliant with federal, state, and local laws, in addition to all regulations required by the client.\nWork independently, and with project team, to meet client’s needs/objectives.\nReview and perform QA/QC of utility company agreements, plans, specifications, cost estimates and invoices submitted by utility companies to assure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and requirements.\nPerform utility records research, obtaining project utility company contacts, preparing contact ledgers and utility conflict tracking reports/matrices.\nAssist with and prepare client deliverables, utility exhibits, project guides, project reviews, project invoices and expense reports as needed.\nTravel for project site visits is required.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in the utility coordination industry, preferably NCDOT experience.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.\nProficiency in reading and understanding civil transportation engineering design plans.\nProficiency in reading and understanding utility installation and adjustment plans.\nAbility to transition easily between multiple projects and tasks.\nBasic MicroStation/Open Roads experience (required).\nPosition requires strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills.\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nHS Diploma.\nAssociate’s degree is a plus.\nValid Driver License and an acceptable motor vehicle record.\nIf this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.\nAn Equal Opportunity Employer.
