The position involves participating in the development of traffic operations analysis, reports and studies for a variety of project types. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of Traffic Engineering and Transportation Engineering.\nResponsibilities:\nGather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies\nPerform traffic volume development calculations\nPrepare traffic volume and traffic operations graphics\nPrepare GIS maps for engineering reports and studies\nAssist in the development of traffic operations analysis models and reports\nMay sometimes need to assist with field work\nOther entry level engineering duties, as needed\nQualifications:\nEnrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Program at an ABETaccredited university\nInterest and/or prior experience in the field of transportation/traffic engineering\nAbility to work independently with general supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment\nWillingness to work with different teams to meet project deadlines\nA working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3.0 GPA or above\nPrior internship or related experience\nCoursework that includes Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, and/or Traffic Engineering\nExperience with traffic analysis tools (HCS, Synchro, and Sidra) and traffic simulation modeling (TransModeler and VISSIM)\nExposure to ArcGIS, MicroStation\nRS&H provides interns an opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience in their specific field of interest.
