Lauderdale or Miami!\nRS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the infrastructure team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by providing professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects; developing and evaluating engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria; coordinating with a diversified project team, including development of client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of other discipline-related activities; preparing specifications, scaled drawings and proposals and ensuring finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction; meeting with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope; reviewing junior staff's work for technical accuracy and providing technical guidance to other professionals and technicians; and performing quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects. This position may also review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments, serve as the team expert and/or project lead, lead a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects, and/or manage a small team of direct reports.\nTo be successful in this role, you must:\nHave a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and minimum seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. \nBe a professional engineer in good standing.\nBe knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.\nBe proficient in production software and construction document production.\nHave proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner. \nHave experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.\nPossess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.\nExperience with the following:\nWatershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters\nHydrologic and hydraulic modeling using ICPR 4/Stormwise, MIKE-SHE, MIKE-11 or SWMM\nDrainage Analysis and Design using Geopak Drainage, Subsurface Utilities Design and Analysis (SUDA) for Open Roads Designer (ORD), and/or ASAD\nPlan production using Microstation SS10 with Geopak, and/or FDOTConnect for ORD\nCADD (Microstation SS10, FDOTConnect for ORD, and/or Civil 3D)\nPreparing FDOT NexGen Plans per FDOT Design Manual (FDM) 900 Series\nPreparing Estimated Quantities Report for quantifying drainage features in ORD\nArcGIS for water resources projects\nPrior experience with FDOT D4 & D6 projects\nPrior experience with Broward and/or Miami-Dade County projects\nPreparation of environmental permit application packages\nPlans, Specifications, and Estimates production\nExperience with design-build and/or other alternative delivery projects\nExperience working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects\nIf this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.\nAn Equal Opportunity Employer.
