This is an opportunity for a licensed engineer to take ownership of meaningful design work, collaborate with talented multidisciplinary teams, work directly with clients, and contribute to a diverse portfolio of complex building projects.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early planning and design through construction. Your responsibilities will include:\nLead and contribute to mechanical engineering design for a variety of building projects\nDevelop mechanical systems, calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents\nApply engineering judgment to solve technical challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions\nCoordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other disciplines\nWork directly with clients to understand project goals, requirements, and priorities\nParticipate in project planning, design coordination, client meetings, presentations, and proposals\nReview drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance\nApply applicable building codes and industry standards, including FBC, IBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA\nProvide technical guidance and review the work of junior engineers and designers\nSupport or lead discipline teams and smaller multidisciplinary project teams\nParticipate in quality control reviews and construction observations\nStay current with industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging mechanical engineering practices\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university\nActive PE license in good standing\n7+ years of MEP design experience\nExperience working on major projects and/or multiple moderate-sized projects\nExperience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior staff\nWorking knowledge of FBC, IBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA\nExperience with Revit and AutoCAD\nStrong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills\nExperience contributing to or leading design teams\nExperience with building and site design\nExperience managing or mentoring staff\nAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project needs require\nDue to federal contract requirements, this position is limited to candidates who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents\nPreferred:\nExperience with business development, marketing, proposals, and client coordination\nAbility to obtain and maintain engineering licensure in multiple states\nNCEES certification\nWhy RS&H?\nAt RS&H, you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and make an impact across multiple markets.
