As part of the construction management team, you'll serve as an owner's representative, leading Phase III construction engineering, inspection and contract administration on large-scale transportation projects for clients such as IDOT, the Illinois Tollway and regional transit agencies.\nEssential Functions:\nServe as Resident Engineer and owner's representative for inspection and contract administration on large-scale transportation projects.\nManage consultant contracts, including accounts receivable, subconsultant management and client interface.\nDirect Phase III construction engineering administration and inspection programs.\nReview and draft project correspondence, claims, change orders and time extension requests.\nVerify construction activities for compliance with contract documents, plans and specifications.\nPlan and organize the work of others, including inspection staff, documentation staff and subconsultants.\nOversee documentation of contract quantities, progress pay estimates and final estimates.\nCoordinate with utility companies, local agencies, client representatives and contractors to keep projects on schedule.\nParticipate in the marketing and development of new opportunities and contract pursuits.\nDevelop or review policies, methods, practices and procedures.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program\n10+ years of relevant transportation construction experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\nResident Engineer or Phase III experience on IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway projects\nExperience with construction of major roads or bridge structures\nProven ability to handle challenging or sensitive issues in a professional, business-minded manner\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nValid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely on highways and job sites\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nPassion for working outdoors and ability to tolerate field conditions\nAbility to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTransit or rail construction experience with agencies such as METRA or CTA\nIDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification\nFamiliarity with highway design and work zone traffic control plans\nExperience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build or CMGC\nOSHA 10-Hour Certification\nBenefits:\nPaid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay\n\n401(k) with Company Match\n\n100% Employee Owned Company!\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n\nCertification and Licensure Support\n\nCareer Advancement Opportunities\n\nPet Insurance\n\nCellphone Stipend\n\nCompany Vehicle\n\nAnd much more!\n\nIf this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.\nThe anticipated salary range for this position is ($125,000- $155,000) annually.
