The changing economic landscape, new accounting pronouncements, evolving tax regulations and the acceleration of automation adoption initiatives mean casino gaming and hospitality enterprises face an ever-changing business landscape.\nOur industry focus includes casino and online gaming operators, integrated resorts, and hospitality operators across multiple jurisdictions throughout the country.\nResponsibilities and Duties: The Gaming and Hospitality Consulting Supervisor provides a variety of financial consulting services to clients. The types of consulting services provided may include, but are not limited to:\nTechnical Accounting and Accounting Support to business operations\nBusiness process improvement and internal controls assessments\nAdvisory projects, such as: Organizational structure analysis, profit enhancement, cash management, and profitability analysis studies\nProcess improvement and policy and procedure documentation\nPrimary clients are gaming entities across the country, including large commercial gaming resorts, casinos, and Indian gaming.\nProvide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables\nDevelop an understanding of the client's business and industry and begin to recognize key performance drivers, trends and developments\nActively participate with engagement team and function as an in-charge and go-live lead, facilitating fieldwork by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on assignments as well as critically solve client and adoption challenges\nSupport the execution and completion of various client deliverables\nIdentify performance improvement opportunities\nUnderstand RSM’s service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery\nRecognize and inform management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients\nBasic Qualifications:\nA BS/BA in Accounting or related field\nMinimum of 4+ years business experience or 4+ years in public accounting/consulting services (emphasis in the casino and hospitality accounting or operations a plus)\nAdvanced written and verbal communication skills\nStrong internal control skills and experience in developing and improving internal control systems\nStrong technical and functional accounting experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS for public or private companies, with experience in financial reporting, and hands-on support and research to solve technical accounting matters with AJE and reconciliations as needed\nProven ability to manage staff on projects of varying sizes, along with a passion for developing and retaining talent\nDemonstrated leadership experience\nMust have demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business associates and industry groups, including strong presentation, communication and rapport building skills\nAbility to travel approximately 75-80%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in working on project teams related to one or more of the following areas: accounting and finance optimization, audit readiness, complex accounting analysis and consultation, new accounting standard implementation, financial automation technologies automation and consulting services to similar industries\nExperience and personality to diffuse difficult customer situations\nAbility to function independently, prioritize and act as a mentor to junior staff\nCPA certification\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
