Our TMT practice serves public and private clients, including growth oriented, private equity and venture backed technology companies. You will work with TMT companies that operate in a fast-paced, unique environment, where the challenges faced can be as varied and complex as the products developed. Segments served include enterprise software, software as a service, e-commerce, electronics and hardware manufacturers, semiconductors, social media, digital media, mobile technology, telecommunications, and more.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as TMT engagement leader and/or client service coordinator managing the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables \nManage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status and ensure maintenance of milestones of all projects\nIdentify technical accounting matters early and assess impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists as needed\nReview work product and communicate audit status to clients periodically and assess resources needed for project completion\nMaintain contact with clients throughout the year to develop deeper relationships to better understand client’s goals and strategies\nManage profitability of projects, evaluate strategy for growth of the Firm\nAssess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams\nUnderstand RSM’s lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm\nDevelop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth\nProvide insightful business advice and present oneself as a trusted business advisor\nUnderstand skillsets and capabilities of team members and monitor and review work product that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coaching notes throughout the process\nDevelop others within the Firm through facilitating levels based or industry training, advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiatives\nAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise\nEnsure professional development through ongoing education\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree\nActive CPA license (or equivalent professional credential) required\n10+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment\n5+ years' experience auditing technology, media or telecommunication companies and related organizations\nA proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships \nA successful record of directing and deploying team members on multiple simultaneous engagements\nUnderstanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB regulations\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
