Individuals in the Independence Operations Associate role will assist with managing risk by supporting multiple teams within RSM’s Office of Risk Management, working in the Firm’s independence systems (entity management system (“EMS”), conflicts of interests, personal independence tool, and services assessment tool). The Independence Operations Associate will support these various functions as seasonal volumes fluctuate and will gain visibility into the key operational activities of the Risk Management function. Responsibilities will include processing updates to the entity management system, researching internal databases, summarizing research findings, delivering summary reports to engagement teams, supporting independence search procedures, and other responsibilities as required. The Independence Associate will also provide procedural support to engagement teams navigating the Firm's independence and conflict check requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nMaintenance of EMS relationships and data, conducting consultations with client servers, and reviewing proposed edits to the EMS\nSupport independence and conflicts of interest search procedures\nMonitoring workload and ensuring assignments are timely actioned\nStakeholder and team member support, guidance and communication\nIdentifying opportunities for and proposing process improvements\nQualifications:\n2+ years’ experience in support or customer service role or function.\nAwareness of interrelated policies, processes, and personnel.\nCommunicating information clearly and concisely, in writing to diverse audiences across the firm and to outside professional contacts.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and discretion.\nDemonstrating expert conflict resolution skills.\nProficient use of Microsoft Office products including familiarity with SharePoint as a document repository.\nAbility to identify and recommend process improvement and efficiency.\nProviding status reporting and frequent check-ins with management.\nWorking with teams internationally.\nAble to adapt quickly to changes in process.\nFacilitating technically complex discussions with stakeholders.\nProactively requesting and providing feedback.\nTimely engaging key stakeholders regarding important decisions, as appropriate.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred), other business degree or equivalent experience. \nAbility to develop and maintain applicable professional and internal contacts, resources and networks.\n1+ years’ experience with enterprise workflow or data management systems.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
