This client-facing role is responsible for understanding clients’ business needs and managing full project deployments from discovery through implementation, cutover, hypercare, and post-cutover support. The Project Manager will oversee project timelines, budgets, risks, communications, and deliverables to drive client satisfaction, effective implementation practices, and project profitability. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, creative thinker, fast learner, and detail-oriented professional committed to the team’s success.\nResponsibilities:\nWork individually or as part of a team to lead project execution on client engagements.\nManage full project deployments from discovery and planning through cutover, hypercare, and post-cutover support.\nLead M365 and infrastructure projects valued at more than $250,000.\nManage projects such as SharePoint migrations, Exchange migrations, Modern Desktop deployments, virtual desktop infrastructure initiatives, M365 Purview projects, and cloud or data center projects.\nUtilize proven tools and techniques to execute deliverables aligned with clients’ business objectives.\nDrive high-quality work within expected timeframes and approved budgets.\nDeliver projects in a government contracting, defense industrial base, or otherwise regulated environment.\nCoordinate and plan technical remediation work with IT and security engineers across identity, network, endpoint, logging, and cloud domains, and to evaluate whether a control is genuinely implemented. \nMonitor progress, manage risks and issues, and keep clients informed about project status and expected outcomes.\nCreate end-user documentation, communications, and other materials supporting successful implementations.\nWork directly with clients and build strong relationships through positive support, clear communication, and sound expertise.\nDirect and motivate project teams, establish positive working relationships with stakeholders, and serve as an escalation point when necessary.\nIdentify additional areas of opportunity and support the business development process.\nMentor diverse client engagement teams through constructive on-the-job coaching while fostering an innovative, inclusive, and team-oriented environment.\nBasic Qualifications\n3+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects.\nExperience leading complete deployments from discovery through post-cutover support.\nExperience managing hypercare periods and projects valued at more than $250,000.\nDemonstrated knowledge of CUI, ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, and other government contracting terminology\nFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-171 and the CMMC Level 2 assessment process, including system security plans, plans of action and milestones, scoping, and evidence collection.\nStrong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong project, time, risk, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience creating end-user documentation and communications.\nAbility to work directly with clients and effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.\nAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nWillingness to travel up to 25%\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree\nPMP or another relevant project management certification.\nPrior consulting experience.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMotivated to work in a fast-paced environment.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
