There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a Manager, Power Platform & Modern Front-End Engineering to lead the delivery and evolution of enterprise-grade solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, with a strong emphasis on modern front-end technology stacks such as React, Angular, and Next.js.\nThis role is accountable for translating business requirements, process needs, and client objectives into clear, scalable technical solution designs. The manager is expected to produce and review written design artifacts, define system boundaries, guide integration patterns, and ensure teams understand both the “why” and the “how” behind implementation decisions.\nThe ideal candidate is both a hands-on technical leader and a people manager, comfortable setting direction, reviewing architecture, mentoring developers, and ensuring delivery excellence across client engagements.\nKey Responsibilities\nSolution Design & Requirements Translation\nTranslate business requirements, user stories, process flows, and client objectives into practical technical solution designs.\nLead solution design sessions that clarify business capabilities, system boundaries, integration needs, data ownership, security requirements, and user experience expectations.\nProduce written design artifacts such as solution design documents, architecture decision records, integration diagrams, data models, interface definitions, and implementation notes.\nIdentify gaps, ambiguities, risks, and assumptions in requirements; document them clearly and drive resolution with business and technical stakeholders.\nDefine technical options and tradeoffs, including cost, maintainability, scalability, extensibility, complexity, delivery timeline, and operational support considerations.\nEnsure design decisions align with enterprise standards, Power Platform governance, ALM practices, security expectations, and long-term maintainability.\nPeople & Team Leadership\nManage and mentor a team of Power Platform and front-end developers.\nProvide technical coaching on:Modern JavaScript frameworks\nPower Platform best practices\nBlended low-code / pro-code solutions\n\nSupport staffing, utilization, and skills development across your team.\nPartner with Architects and team leads to ensure consistent delivery quality and technical alignment.\nClient Engagement & Solution Strategy\nAct as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping them:Understand when Power Platform is the right fit\nBlend Power Platform with custom front-end solutions where appropriate\n\nLead technical discovery, solution shaping, and early prototyping efforts.\nCommunicate tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nEnsure client solutions are built with long-term scalability and maintainability in mind.\nTechnical Leadership & Delivery\nLead the design and delivery of solutions leveraging:Power Apps (Model-Driven, Canvas, Power Pages)\nPower Automate / Copilot Studio\nDataverse\nDynamics 365\n\nGuide teams in integrating Power Platform solutions with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js) and Azure-hosted services.\nEstablish architectural patterns for:Front-end extensibility\nAPI-based integrations\nSecure and scalable deployments\n\nDrive adoption of AI-assisted development (e.g., Copilot, code generation, system analysis) to accelerate delivery and improve quality.\nReview designs, code, and solutions to ensure they meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and maintainability.\nPractice & Capability Growth\nDrive the evolution of Power Platform accelerators, reusable components, and delivery standards.\nHelp shape governance, ALM, and DevOps practices for Power Platform + front-end solutions.\nStay current with emerging trends in:Power Platform\nModern front-end frameworks\nAzure and AI-enabled development\n\nShare learnings across the practice to elevate overall capability.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in application development or solution delivery.\nStrong understanding of system design principles, including modularity, integration patterns, data modeling, security, scalability, maintainability, and operational readiness.\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dataverse).\nStrong experience with modern front-end technologies, including:React (required)\nAngular and/or Next.js (preferred)\n\nSolid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and modern UI patterns.\nExperience integrating Power Platform with custom front-end applications and Azure services.\nPrior experience leading or mentoring development teams.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Dynamics 365 customization and extension.\nFamiliarity with Azure services (Functions, App Services, API Management).\nExperience with CI/CD and ALM for Power Platform and web applications.\nExposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices.\nConsulting or client-facing delivery experience.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nTeams deliver faster by effectively combining Power Platform and modern front-end stacks.\nSolutions are scalable, maintainable, and architecturally sound.\nDevelopers are growing in both low-code and pro-code skillsets.\nClients view the team as strategic partners, not just implementers.\nThe practice continues to lead-not react-as technology and delivery models evolve.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
