There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.\nSenior Associate, Quality Engineering\nPlaywright Automation\nPosition Summary\nThe Senior Associate will design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based test automation for ERP implementations and digital transformation programs. This role requires hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Playwright MCP, Playwright CLI, API testing, and CI/CD integration, along with the ability to translate complex business processes into reliable and maintainable automated tests.\nThe individual will collaborate with business, functional, development, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage, accelerate regression testing, and support high-quality software delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.\nUse Playwright MCP and AI-assisted development tools to explore applications, identify elements, generate test flows, and accelerate automation development.\nUse the Playwright CLI, Codegen, UI Mode, Trace Viewer, and HTML Reporter for test creation, execution, debugging, and failure analysis.\nBuild reusable automation components using fixtures, page objects, test-data utilities, authentication state, and environment-specific configurations.\nDevelop stable locators, meaningful assertions, and maintainable tests for complex ERP business processes.\nAutomate functional, integration, API, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.\nConfigure cross-browser, parallel, and role-based test execution.\nDiagnose flaky tests, synchronization issues, environmental dependencies, and test-data constraints.\nIntegrate automated tests into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD pipelines.\nPublish test results, screenshots, videos, traces, and other execution artifacts.\nReview requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and process flows to identify automation opportunities and test coverage.\nSupport ERP process testing across areas such as:Order to Cash\nProcure to Pay\nRecord to Report\nLead to Cash\nSupply Chain and Warehouse Operations\n\nPerform manual and exploratory testing when scenarios are not suitable or ready for automation.\nDocument and manage defects using Azure DevOps or Jira.\nPrepare testing metrics, automation coverage reports, defect trends, and quality-status updates.\nReview automation code and promote consistent framework, coding, and repository standards.\nFor Supervisor-level candidates, lead automation workstreams, estimate activities, mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and communicate quality risks to project leadership.\nRequired Qualifications\n3 to 6+ years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.\nAt least 2 years of hands-on Playwright experience, preferably using TypeScript.\nPractical experience using Playwright MCP and Playwright CLI in automation-development workflows.\nStrong knowledge of Playwright locators, assertions, fixtures, projects, authentication, traces, reports, and parallel execution.\nExperience building or enhancing scalable automation frameworks using reusable design patterns.\nExperience integrating Playwright tests into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or another CI/CD platform.\nExperience with Git, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.\nExperience testing enterprise web applications or ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.\nExperience with API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.\nExperience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable test-management and defect-tracking tools.\nStrong understanding of Agile, SDLC, DevOps, and continuous-testing practices.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience automating complex ERP business processes using Playwright MCP/CLI.\nExperience combining Playwright UI and API testing to establish application state and manage test data.\nExperience with Leapwork or another codeless automation platform.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
