There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.\nThe Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the firm’s global daily cash-management activities, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations while optimizing available cash.\nThis role manages daily cash positioning, cash-flow forecasting, banking activities, payments, short-term investments and borrowing, bank relationships, treasury accounting, and general ledger activities. The Cash Manager will collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Tax, and business leaders to improve cash visibility, maintain accurate financial records, and support liquidity decisions.\nLocation:\nChicago or New York City - Hybrid\nKey Responsibilities\nDaily cash and Liquidity Management\nManage daily cash positioning across the firm’s bank accounts and legal entities\nMonitor cash balances, inflows, outflows, and upcoming funding requirements\nEnsure sufficient liquidity is available to meet payroll, vendor payments, tax payments, debt obligations, and other operational requirements\nInitiate or coordinate intercompany and interbank transfers to efficiently concentrate and deploy cash\nManage and monitor the daily flows of the cash pooling structure across multiple bank partners\nOptimize the use of excess cash, including short-term investments or debt repayment, in accordance with the firm’s policy\nMonitor available credit facilities and coordinate short-term borrowings when necessary\nIdentify opportunities to reduce idle cash, avoid unnecessary borrowing, and improve working-capital efficiency\nOversee daily banking activities, including cash administration, payments, collections, funding, and account management\nReview and approve wire transfers, ACH payments, and other non-routine transactions in accordance with delegated authority\nManage bank accounts, authorized signers, account documentation, and online banking access\nCash-Flow Forecasting and Reporting\nPrepare and maintain short- and medium-term cash-flow forecasts in the CFF platform including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly liquidity projections\nPartner with FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll to collect and validate forecast inputs.\nAnalyze actual cash flows against forecasts and explain material variances\nIdentify potential liquidity surpluses or shortfalls and recommend appropriate actions\nTreasury Accounting and General Ledger\nOversee the accurate and timely recording of cash transactions in the general ledger\nPrepare, review, and approve journal entries related to cash, bank fees, interest income and expense, investments, debt, and intercompany transfers\nPerform and review bank-to-general-ledger reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are resolved promptly\nResearch cash and general ledger discrepancies and coordinate corrections with Accounting and operational teams\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to cash and treasury accounts\nSupport internal and external audit requests related to cash balances, bank reconciliations, and treasury transactions\nSupport the implementation and optimization of treasury management systems, ERP platforms, bank connectivity, and payment technologies\nDevelop procedures and training materials for new or revised cash-management and accounting processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.\nFive to seven years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, general ledger accounting, or a related finance function.\nDemonstrated experience with daily cash positioning, liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, payment operations, and bank-account administration.\nHands-on general ledger experience, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial close activities.\nStrong understanding of cash inflows and outflows, working capital, banking products, short-term investments, and credit facilities.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis, reconciliations, forecasting, and large-data-set management.\nExperience using treasury systems and accounting systems, online banking platforms, and financial-reporting tools.\nAbility to manage competing deadlines and execute accurately in a high-volume environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or progress toward a relevant professional certification\nExperience with a treasury management system such as Kyriba, GTreasury, FIS, or SAP Treasury.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite\nFamiliarity with bank connectivity and payment formats, including APIs, SFTP, SWIFT, ACH, wires, and ISO 20022\nExperience in a multi-entity, multinational, or decentralized organization\nKnowledge of cash pooling, intercompany funding, debt, and short-term investment products.\nExperience supporting the financial close and external audit processes for a publicly traded or similarly complex organization.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
