This role provides strategic direction for user experience initiatives, oversees design execution, and collaborates closely with product and engineering leaders to ensure cohesive, intuitive, and accessible solutions. Maintains a strong hands-on design presence while guiding team development, design standards, and user research practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage a team of UX designers, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and ensuring high-quality design output.\nDefine UX strategy and design direction for products, features, or digital programs in alignment with user needs and organizational goals.\nOversee and contribute to UX design deliverables, including user journeys, workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI designs, and accessibility considerations.\nEnsure user research activities-such as interviews, usability studies, concept testing, and analytics analysis-are effectively planned, executed, and incorporated into decision-making.\nMaintain and evolve design systems, ensuring consistent patterns, components, and standards across digital products.\nPartner with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape requirements, prioritize work, and ensure successful design implementation.\nDrive cross-functional collaboration to resolve design challenges and guide product direction with user-centered insights.\nPresent and advocate for UX perspectives in roadmap discussions, planning sessions, and leadership forums.\nIdentify improvements to processes, tools, and workflows that enhance team efficiency and design quality.\nTrack user feedback, metrics, and performance data to support continuous product improvement.\nFoster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and inclusive design within the team.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading UX design work across complex, multi-platform digital products.\nProficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).\nExperience leading or overseeing user research initiatives and synthesizing insights into actionable design strategies.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.\nAbility to guide and influence design direction across teams and disciplines.\nPortfolio showcasing strategic design thinking, end-to-end UX process, and leadership in design execution.\nCompetencies\nLeadership & Talent Development: Builds team capability through mentorship, coaching, and skill development.\nStrategic UX Vision: Shapes design direction and aligns solutions with user needs and business goals.\nCross-Functional Alignment: Facilitates effective collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams.\nDesign Systems Stewardship: Maintains standards and promotes consistency across all digital experiences.\nAnalytical & Insight-Driven Thinking: Uses research and data to inform design decisions and product strategy.\nExecution & Prioritization: Manages multiple initiatives and balances short-term delivery with long-term design quality.\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement: Encourages exploration of new ideas, tools, and UX methodologies.\nCommunication & Influence: Clearly articulates design rationale and drives consensus across diverse audiences.\nAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
