Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nWhat You Will Do\nThis is a 3RD shift Opportunity Monday - Friday ( 5 x 8hour shifts) 11:30PM - 7AM\nThis position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or assembly experience the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.\nEmployees selected for this position will participate in 4-8 weeks of the on the job training.\nLearn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies. Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks. Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.\nObtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.\nLearn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM)\nLearn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production\npersonnel or others to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.\nThis position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities.
