Hours are Monday - Friday 3:12pm - 11:59pm.\nWhat You Will Do:\nUnder direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established. Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned.\n\nUse overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components.\n\nObtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within limits specified.\n\nUse mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.\n\nProvide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.\n\nPerform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications.\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent & formal training in a specialized field achieving A&P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic preferred.\n\n3 + years avionics mechanic experience.\n\nIn compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.\nHired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
