With deep engineering expertise and a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, we help customers meet the evolving demands of the global aerospace and defense industry.\nJoin Collins Aerospace and turn your technical expertise into publications that help keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are looking for a Technical Publications Engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation, review, and revision of critical aerospace technical documentation.\nIn this role, you will work closely with engineering data, drawings, and change inputs to develop accurate, clear, and compliant Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs).\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who understands aerospace fundamentals, enjoys technical writing, and wants to build a career in aerospace technical publications and documentation engineering.\nWhat You Will Do\nCreate, revise, and review Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs).\nDevelop clear, technically accurate assembly, disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.\nInterpret and effectively use engineering drawings, specifications, change notices, and other engineering inputs.\nAnalyze change drivers and incorporate engineering changes accurately into technical publications.\nEnsure technical documentation complies with applicable aerospace technical publication standards and customer requirements.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Work and Work Instructions for creating and revising technical publications.\nReview documentation for technical accuracy, completeness, consistency, readability, and compliance.\nCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve technical queries and documentation gaps.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to technical publication processes, quality, and productivity.\nProvide guidance and technical training to team members on CMM creation, tools, processes, and applicable standards.\nWhat You Will Learn\nAdvanced practices for developing aerospace technical publications.\nEnd-to-end CMM, SB, and AMM development and revision processes.\nApplication of aerospace documentation standards, including ATA 100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D.\nTechniques for converting complex engineering information into clear, user-friendly maintenance procedures.\nBest practices in interpreting engineering drawings, change documentation, and technical data.\nQuality and compliance expectations within a global aerospace and defense organization.\nOpportunities to work with experienced aerospace engineers and technical publication professionals.\nBasic Qualifications\nB.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.\n1-4 years of relevant experience in Aerospace Technical Publications.\nHands-on experience in the creation and/or revision of CMMs, Service Bulletins, and/or AMMs.\n1+ Years of Strong aerospace fundamentals and technical publication principles.\n1+ Years of Working knowledge of ATA 100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D standards.\nExperience developing or revising technical procedures and maintenance documentation.\nAbility to understand and interpret engineering drawings and engineering change inputs.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\n1+ Years of Strong experience in writing Assembly, Disassembly, Inspection, and Repair procedures.\n1+ Years of Experience working with aerospace maintenance documentation and publication tools.\nKnowledge of document configuration, revision control, and change management.\n1+ Years of Experience developing Standard Work / Work Instructions for technical publication processes.\nAbility to train and mentor team members on CMM creation, tools, and technical publication standards.\nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to documentation accuracy and quality.\nAbility to analyze complex technical information and communicate it in a clear, structured manner.\nWhy Join Collins Aerospace?\nAt Collins Aerospace, your work contributes directly to products and technologies that support the global aerospace industry.
