Collins aerospace is looking for a Capacity Planner to work at Oakville site - Oakville - Canada - ON.

What You Will Do

Capacity Planning

• Strategic Capacity Planning & Scenario Analysis
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the integrated Long-Range Planning (LRP) process and capacity plan, with a five-year planning horizon.
• Lead the capacity planning activities for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) to support key business decisions related to capital investments, headcount, outsourcing, transfers, and other strategic initiatives.
• Develop and evaluate multiple capacity scenarios based on changing business requirements and provide detailed analysis of the resource requirements needed to support each scenario.
• Assess the operational, financial, organizational, resource, and investment impacts of proposed capacity scenarios.
• Prepare detailed analyses, recommendations, and presentations to support leadership and executive decision-making.
• Facilitate decision-making by providing an integrated view of the operational and financial impacts of various business and capacity scenarios.
• Support annual Customer Product Rate Analysis (PRA) activities across different programs.

SIOP, Latest Estimate & Operational Planning

• Actively participate in and support all SIOP reviews and planning activities, as required.
• Lead and drive the monthly Latest Estimate (LE) process in collaboration with Operations, Planning, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct regular capacity reviews with individual departments to identify current and future capacity constraints in a timely manner.
• Analyze capacity gaps and constraints and develop recommendations and mitigation plans to support business requirements.
• Lead capacity constraint and change review boards and drive cross-functional actions to resolution.
• Lead and manage Capacity Planning swim lane activities for the Collins Kinaxis Maestro tool, including process development, issue resolution, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement of capacity planning capabilities.

Capacity Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Track, analyze, and report key capacity planning performance indicators and proactively identify actions required to close performance gaps.
• Extract, consolidate, and analyze capacity requirement data from SAP based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS), and compare required hours against available capacity to identify capacity gaps and constraints and generate capacity heat maps.
• Analyze abnormal trends, identify root causes, and communicate findings and recommended actions to leadership.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, system alignment, and increased planning accuracy and productivity.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance standard work instructions, processes, and tools for Capacity Planning.
• Support ad hoc and business-critical projects, analyses, and initiatives as required.

SAP Master Data & Governance

• Create, amend, and maintain SAP master data in accordance with established standards, guidelines, and business requirements.
• Maintain and govern capacity-related SAP master data, including work centers, available capacity, shift definitions, and other relevant capacity planning parameters.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations teams to maintain and improve routing accuracy in SAP.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust master data governance process to support accurate and reliable capacity planning.
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders to identify and resolve SAP master data issues and ensure the ongoing health, accuracy, and integrity of capacity-related data.
• Establish processes and controls to ensure alignment between operational processes, SAP master data, and capacity planning systems.

Qualifications Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience with SAP system in the field of work center, routings, BOM, and master production scheduling.
• Working Experience with Excel and Data Analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing industry.
• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Landing gear experience.
• Good understanding of productivity, utilization and efficiency.
• Experience with capacity planning .
• Experience with CI tools and CORE.
• Experience with problem solving and route cause analysis.
• SQL / VBA experience.
• Knowledge of Tableau / Power BI.

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
