As a senior individual contributor, you will play a crucial role in driving successful contract execution, while identifying and contributing to continuous process improvement.\nWhile this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide other members of the Contracts team, fostering their professional development and contributing to the department’s overall success.\n Responsibilities:\nServe as the primary point of contract for commercial and contractual activities (i.e. interpretations, amendments, commitments, etc.) related to complex programs, building strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.\nContract administration and customer/subcontractor contract activities and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer/subcontract specifications.\nNegotiate a range of contractual agreements and manage non routine issues through senior functional management, referring to counsel when necessary.\nLead the Identification, negotiation, and management of contract changes throughout the lifecycle to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.\nDraft, review, and manage a variety of agreements, including customer contracts, subcontracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Proprietary Information Agreements (PIAs), from initiation to close out.\nTranslate prime contracts requirements into subcontracts, ensuring alignment with terms and conditions, pricing structure, acceptance criteria, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.\nReview, approve and provide recommendations on contracts, financial changes and program/gate reviews within the assigned delegation of authority.\nDevelops and implement innovative commercial and contractual strategies to support proposals, customer requirements, supplier arrangements, including overseeing due diligence activities.\nProvide mentoring, guidance and support to other members in the Contracts team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and professional development.\nShare responsibility for program and bid financial performance with multi-functional leadership team. \nPrepare and present business cases and briefing materials for senior management reviews.\nSupport the finance function in invoicing and cash collection activities.\nOversee and track contract performance, manage modifications, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.\nLead the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts, including terms and conditions, assist with review of statements of work (SOW), and pricing.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable government regulations, including Transportation, Import/Export, ITAR, EAR, Controlled Goods, and Occupational Health & Safety.\nIdentify, evaluate and develop risk mitigation strategies for contractual risks, presenting recommendations to management for consideration.\nProvide expert advice to program teams on contractual obligations, deliverables, and performance metrics, including financial, technical, and schedule risks.\nCollaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes or performance issues.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., program management, finance, legal, and supply chain) to ensure alignment on contract terms with program objectives and risk mitigation strategies.\nEvaluate subcontractor proposals, capabilities, and performance to ensure alignment with program requirements.\nSupport proposal development by reviewing and analyzing solicitation requirements to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.\nPrepare and submit compliant proposals, including pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal policies.\nContribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices for contract and subcontract management.\nIdentify opportunities for improve efficiency and accuracy in contract management processes and actively participate in cross functional improvement initiatives.\nMaintain accurate records and documentation of subcontracting activities and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.\nRequirements:\n Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent in training and experience).\n10+ years of experience in contract management, negotiation, or administration.\nStrong knowledge of contractual terms, business law, and compliance regulations.\nKnowledge of the defence industry and associated regulations (e.g. ITAR/EAR/Controlled Goods) is preferred. Good working knowledge of import/export legislation.\nExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.\nProven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex contractual documents.\nExperience working with international suppliers or customers.\nProven ability to solve complex problems and drive performance through collaboration.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Word and Excel skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to covey complete ideas clearly.\nAbility to manage high-volume workload with changing priorities.\nStrong understanding of construction project requirements and compliance standards, including risk mitigation strategies is highly preferred.\nProven track record of resolving disputes and fostering collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers.\nExperience in program financial management and how to apply that to risk and opportunities. \nExcellent commercial awareness and knowledge of business principles and governing law.\nExcellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels with both internal and external customers.\nPositive, self-motivated and the ability to work both independently and as team.\nA willingness and ability to travel occasionally.\nThe successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.\nThis position is eligible for consideration of a hybrid work arrangement with set onsite days.\nRaytheon Canada adheres to the principles of equal employment and welcome applications from all qualified persons.
