Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nWhat Will You Do\nSupport various Durability CIPT product teams in addressing business critical challenges related to hardware environmental exposure.\nCollaborate across disciplines and with HSE Methods team to environmental exposure tool sets requirement, inputs and outputs in alignment with the vision for Durability Design System.\nContribute to define road-map for future models for environmental interaction with engine components.\nIdentify gaps in existing environmental exposure predictive tools and collaborate with data acquisition teams to define test plans to bridge the gaps.\nDevelop standard best practice for utilization and interpretation of CFD-based particle tracking models to evaluate hot section components.\nDevelop, manage, validate and calibrate predictive models of environmental exposure interactions with engine components.\nDevelop validation plans for environmental effects on engine components and support environmental rig and engine testing.\nTrack fleet hardware environmental exposure and review environmental impacts on fielded engine hardware.\nBenchmark data and best practices from academia, government, industry.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)\n5 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of engineering with an advanced degree\nQualifications We Prefer:\nBackground in Aero Thermal Sciences with concentration in heat transfer and fluid dynamics.\nKnowledge of gaspath hardware failure modes and mission life modeling for typical limiting modes such as oxidation, creep, corrosion and TMF.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, such as, investment casting, laser and EDM hole drilling, airflow, metallic and ceramic coatings\nDirt/Particulate transport characterization and interaction with turbine hardware.\nWhat We Offer:\nBenefits\nRelocation Assistance\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nHot Section Engineering (HSE)\nHot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.\nTechnical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.\nWhat is my role type?\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
