Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nEarly Warning Radar Operator Maintainer\nWhat You Will Do:\nRaytheon Field Engineering is seeking an Early Warning Radar Operator Maintainer to support Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR) operations. This is a long-term onsite assignment in Qatar. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure radar operations and maintenance activities are properly planned, documented, executed, and supported. This position requires flexibility to react and execute solutions in response to system issues on a 24/7 basis during any given shift. Key responsibilities include:\nOperate and maintain Qatar’s Early Warning Radar (EWR) system, a PC-based platform designed for monitoring and tracking.\nSupport engineering, logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure optimal system performance.\nCollaborate with the System Integration Lab analysis team and work with Systems and Software Engineers to document, develop, and implement solutions.\nPresent findings and solutions to leadership and/or customers.\nTroubleshoot radar systems using field support equipment and perform diagnostics, unit self-tests, and built-in test equipment (BITE).\nEstablish and assess the performance of complex RF systems, monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, isolate failures, and replace failed components.\nPerform maintenance planning and scheduling using tools such as ALCS or equivalent systems.\nProvide technical advice and assistance to foreign military personnel on operational and tactical procedures for the EWR system.\nConduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs and participate in exercises utilizing practice scenarios within the CMOC.\nPerform 12-hour rotating shift work and respond to downing events as required.\nPerform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking up and down eight flights of stairs, and working in extreme environments.\nPerform other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nSuccessful completion of Early Warning Radar (EWR) console certification conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the EWR Contractor.\n5 years of experience in test, integration, maintenance, alignment, adjustment, calibration, and operation of RF equipment associated with Early Warning Radar systems, including transmitters, receivers, modulators, mixers, control systems, cabling, and interconnects.\nExperience in establishing and assessing the performance of complex RF systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, isolating failures, and replacing failed components.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a minimum of 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.\nActive and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Early Warning Radar systems and subsystems down to the component level.\nExperience providing technical advice and assistance to foreign military personnel with operational and tactical procedures on the EWR system.\nArabic language literacy.\nExperience with the operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios within the CMOC.\nExperience with maintenance planning and scheduling systems such as ALCS or equivalent tools.\nPrior participation in the conduct of On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs.\nExperience coordinating actions with customer representatives and other contractors.\nCORE Certification.\nRequired Education:\nBachelor's degree in related field and at least 5 years of related experience. Experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
