Responsibilities will also include support of existing products including product recertification driven by minor or major changes, cost savings identification, troubleshooting equipment from the field or OEM assembly line and obsolescence management. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge avionics networking technologies that directly impact aircraft performance, safety, and reliability. We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our Avionics Network Hardware team within the Computing Products Department of the Displays, Controls, Computing & Networking Directorate.\nDesign, analyze, simulate and test Circuit Card Assemblies for Avionics Computers (Processors, FPGAs, Memory, high-speed interfaces).\nOperate lab equipment to perform integration testing on hardware designs.\nSchematic capture of digital/analog mixed signal electrical circuit designs.\nQualifications You Must Have\nMust be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.\nMust have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session\nExperience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience with the development and design of electronic circuit designs and/or multi-assembly system/unit design\nExperience working on cross-functional teams\nExperience with taking design concepts from block diagrams or requirements to developing complete hardware designs, including verification through testing and integration.\nExperience with design tools (schematic capture) and PCB design process to analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware implementation.\nExperience using PCB electronic circuit design software: signal integrity, power integrity and analog simulation.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
