Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPratt & Whitney is seeking a highly skilled Engineering leader to advance enterprise Model Based Design, Definition, Manufacturing, and Inspection (MB DMI) capabilities. This role serves as a subject matter expert for Model Based Definition (MBD) and Model Based Inspection (MBI), while also driving interoperability strategy, product characterization standards, and cross-functional digital alignment. In this role, you will:\nLead the creation of rules, conventions, and digital behaviors required for machine-readable MBD.\nDevelop enterprise standards and tools to support MBD and MBI initiatives.\nDrive interoperability strategies with strategic partners to enable seamless collaboration.\nEnsure consistent downstream consumption of MBD across Engineering, Operations, and Quality.\nSupport the development of model-based inspection workflows, including CMM/CAI tools and machine-readable PMI.\nCollaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to mature Pratt & Whitney’s digital thread.\nEnable robust, validated, and repeatable model-centric processes that align with enterprise goals.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.\n7+ years of leadership experience with a focus on results, teamwork, analytical thinking, communication, and listening skills.\nExperience in MBD authoring, GD&T, PMI, and digital product specification.\nExperience with model-based inspection workflows, including CMM/CAI tools and machine-readable PMI.\nProficiency with NX, Teamcenter, or comparable CAD/PLM systems.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience with Solumina/iBase t, SAP, inspection software, or digital manufacturing systems.\nFamiliarity with Product Design digital thread workflows.\nExperience contributing to MB DMI, MBE, or model-centered transformation efforts.\nParticipation in external standards organizations or interoperability forums.\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nWhat is my role type?\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
