As a centre of excellence for electrical rewind repairs, we support major airlines, maintenance and repair organizations, and distributors across North and South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region\nWe are seeking an Evening Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations and supervise a team of production team members in a fast-paced aerospace environment. In this role, you will oversee shop floor activities, workforce planning, production scheduling, and operational performance while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve production challenges, and support the successful execution of manufacturing operations.\nYour mission: to lead a high-performing production team that delivers quality products on schedule, drives operational excellence, and continuously improves manufacturing performance while supporting Collins Aerospace's commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and innovation.\nWork Schedule:\nThis position supports 2nd Shift operations. Candidates must be available to work the following schedule based on business needs:\n2nd Shift: \nMonday through Thursday 3.30pm - 12.00pm\nand\nFriday 1.30pm-8.20pm\nKey Responsibilities:\nTeam Leadership:\nSupervise and lead a team of operators during the evening shift.\nProvide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.\nEnsure efficient team communication and resolve conflicts as needed.\nFoster a high-engagement culture built on respect, empowerment, communication, and collaboration.\nOperational Oversight:\nManage the repair and overhaul operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.\nEnsure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety protocols.\nMonitor and report on production metrics, such as productivity, efficiency, and turnaround times.\nServe as the primary point of contact and assume full responsibility for the site during the evening shift.\nOversee and manage all facility operations during evening hours to ensure smooth workflow and functionality.\nLead emergency response efforts, including coordinating with internal teams and external agencies, in the event of incidents or emergencies.\nEnsure the security of the building by monitoring access, managing security protocols, and addressing any breaches or concerns.\nPrepare and submit reports summarizing activities, incidents, and resolutions during the evening shift.\nParticipate in training and preparedness activities related to emergency response and building security.\nAct as a liaison between the evening shift team and other departments to ensure consistent communication and operational alignment.\nSafety and Compliance:\nEnsure adherence to all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.\nFoster a safety-first culture by driving compliance and proactive measures to maintain a safe work environment.\nCompliance with all approved maintenance data\nEnsure the proper handling, identification and tagging of all parts or units being processed while in the repair process and after repair work is completed.\nControlling, segregating and preserving all tools in a serviceable condition\nDocumentation integrity by ensuring that all necessary maintenance entries on forms and work orders are properly executed.\nComplete all agreed corrective actions assigned to you following Quality Audits within agreed target dates.\nContinuous Improvement:\nIdentify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.\nTake full ownership of CORE continuous improvement (CI) initiatives within your area to drive operational efficiency and enhance overall performance.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and streamline production and repair processes.\nEnsure the effective use of CORE tools and methodologies, such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to drive measurable improvements.\nDisciplined execution of the daily Lean management system, including Tiered accountability meetings, visual management systems, and leader standard work.\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nCoordinate with day shift teams, engineering, logistics, and customer support to ensure seamless handover and alignment of priorities.\nCommunicate customer feedback and performance data to relevant stakeholders.\nResource Management:\nManage staffing and resource allocation to meet operational demands.\nOversee training and development of team members to ensure skills align with business needs, maintain skills matrix.\nIdentify talent development needs and create opportunities for professional growth within the team.\nFoster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and recognition of accomplishments.\nQualifications & Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (preferred).
