Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Execution, this role will lead and execute engineering projects involving troubleshooting mechanical building systems, supporting building control systems, office renovations, laboratory fit-ups, and manufacturing equipment installations. Responsibilities include managing projects from design and bidding through construction and closeout.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform project estimating and scheduling, design heating and cooling systems, calculate heat loads, and conduct equipment sizing studies\nPrepare diagrams, sketches, construction drawings, cost estimates, bid documents, and provide construction administration\nMeet with internal customers to develop scope, support continuous improvement initiatives, perform coordination studies, and manage projects \nCoordinate activities with internal and external partners including IT, safety, security, construction trades, consultants, contractors, and suppliers\nTravel within eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, with occasional opportunities for national or international project support.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience\n3+ years of experience in building mechanical engineering \nExperience with mechanical systems including boilers, refrigeration, cooling skids, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, fan coil units, VAV systems, compressed air systems, nitrogen and liquid nitrogen systems\nExperience with building electrical systems and general building construction and civil works. \nExperience coordinating mechanical designs with architectural, electrical, structural, civil, IT, and security disciplines \nExperience with construction project management including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, commissioning, and closeout \nExperience writing clear technical specifications, reports, and operating procedures \n2+ years of experience with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and State Building Codes\nExperience working with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project\nQualifications We Prefer\nStrong communication skills with the ability to interface with leadership, internal customers, IT, security, trade workers, and subcontractors\nExperience in facilities engineering\nExperience in design and construction project management• Experience in manufacturing facilities\nExperience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric\nMasters in Mechanical Engineering is a plus\nWhat We Offer\nWhether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
