The Woomera Test Range, located in South Australia, is the world’s largest overland test environment, comparable to the size of England, and is one of Australia’s most critical national security assets.\nRaytheon Australia’s integrated range solution provides the Australian Defence Force with one of the most advanced test, experiment, and training environments in the world. As one of the teams technical workforce, you will contribute to the success of the WTRSS Program through providing specialty maintenance, deployment and operating functions on a variety of different leading-edge equipment.\nThe ICT Field Technician is responsible for conducting planned and corrective maintenance, technical investigations, and support configuration change activities of communication and mission systems. The Field ICT Technician also supports deployment of Mission System Equipment in support of trial activities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdministration and support of both Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments, including configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nConfiguration and troubleshooting of complex network environments.\nDomain user support with a focus on high system availability.\nLiaison with engineering staff in the conduct of engineering and maintenance services and activities for the customer.\nUndertake travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role.\n Skills, Experience and Qualifications:\nRequires a Certificate III in Information Technology, Electronics/ Telecommunications or similar qualification.\nMinimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience required.\nExperience administering virtualised operating environments.\nA demonstrated understanding of and experience in data interface standards and protocols.\nExperience with Linux Command Line Interface.\nExperience with CISCO network devices.\nExperience with troubleshooting tools e.g. WireShark (desirable).\nFamiliarity with the ISM, PSPF and understanding of basic Cyber Security principles (highly desirable).\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Security Clearance.
