The In-Circuit Test Engineer will support the development, modification, and maintenance of ICT programs and test fixtures; troubleshoot printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) failures at the component level; and provide production support to minimize downtime. This role will also analyze test data to identify failure trends, maintain test documentation, support flying probe testing for prototypes, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve test performance and overall production yields.

What You Will Do:

  • Technical & Program Maintenance: Assist with ICT programming: Learn to develop, modify, and optimize basic test programs for standard platforms like the Teradyne Test Station under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders: Update existing ICT software programs and fixture wiring to accommodate component or design changes made to the circuit boards.
  • Maintain test fixtures: Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and validating "bed-of-nails," vacuum test fixtures, including replacing worn or broken test probes and pins.
  • Production Support & Diagnostics: Perform board-level troubleshooting: Debug and isolate root causes of failed PCBAs on the production line, working down to the component level using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
  • Monitor line-down issues: Support manufacturing operators when a test station experiences false failures or machine errors to keep production running.
  • Support Flying Probe testing: Assist in setting up and operating flying probe test systems for low-volume or New Product Introduction (NPI) prototypes.
  • Data Analysis & Quality Control: Track test yields, collect and analyze test data to identify failure trends, helping the quality team spot widespread component defects or assembly issues.
  • Document test processes: Create and update standard operating procedures and test logs for the test equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including assembly technicians, quality engineers, and senior test engineers to improve overall manufacturing yields.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will work with our senior engineers to be trained and learn the process and procedures of the role.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
  • Exposure to or coursework involving automated test equipment (ATE), specifically Teradyne ICT systems or Scorpion Flying Probe platforms (internship experience is a plus).
  • Experience with electronic schematics, circuit diagrams,
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g., C/C++, Python, or platform-specific test software languages) used for test script modifications.
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools for basic fixture repair
