Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX.\nThis position is for an on-site Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op who will join the Manufacturing support team at the Collins Aerospace Manchester, Iowa facility for the Summer/Fall 2027 session.\nWhat You Will Do:\n Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session running June-December (including the Fall semester; students are expected to take the semester off from coursework to fully engage in this mentorship opportunity).\nWork alongside Industrial Engineers, production-floor operators, and manufacturing support staff to resolve product flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues associated with advanced manufacturing techniques.\nDevelop or improve designs for fixtures or tooling to support manufacturing processes, as well as build, verify, and implement those fixtures.\nIdentify root causes of manufacturing defects and process inhibitors, and implement effective corrective measures.\nProgram and operate laser machines, 3D printers, and other manufacturing equipment to develop fixtures.\nSupport the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat You Will Learn:\nA variety of manufacturing techniques used to build advanced electronic equipment.\nHow aerospace manufacturing environments operate and navigate required systems.\nHow to prioritize and balance workloads across multiple projects\nWhat it is like to work as an engineer in industry.\nQualifications You Must Have:\n Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co-op session.\nCompletion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)\nExperience with SolidWorks modeling\nExperience with VBA or other scripting languages\nExperience with 3D modeling or laser cutting\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
