Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nAbout the Role : Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Application Tester who has hands-on experience with test automation and testing tools, along with a good understanding of business process concepts. Candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software applications by designing and executing automated and manual tests, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, and contributing to improving overall product quality of Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions.\nCareer growth opportunities include access and exposure to technical and functional experts, business operations, and to leadership/executives. This position offers an opportunity to network with technical professionals and to build relationships within the organization being on the front lines of developing technology.\nWhat You will do :\nDesign, develop and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.\nPerform manual testing of applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.\nCollaborate closely with Business Units and stakeholders to understand application business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.\nIdentify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, and track defects through resolution.\nParticipate in requirement review sessions to provide insights from a testing and business perspective.\nAssist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data.\nDefine acceptance criteria and work on user story grooming sessions.\nWork closely with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.\nCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding testing progress, risks, and issues. \nQualifications You must have:\nBachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in the same disciplines with 5+ years of experience in application testing, including hands-on experience in test automation.\nProficiency with automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.\nExperience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).\nBasic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.\nQualifications we prefer\nExperience with performance and security testing.\nKnowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\nCertification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).\nExposure to manufacturing business processes such as requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes, Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.\nWhat we offer :\nDaycare for young children\nAdvancement programs to enhance education skills\nFlexible work schedules\nLeadership and training programs\nComprehensive benefits, savings, and pension plans\nFinancial support for parental leave\nReward programs for outstanding work\nRole type:\nPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.
