Leading a highly skilled technical team and managing a network of specialist service providers, you will ensure equipment availability, quality compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement across the program.\nReporting to the Operations and Maintenance Project Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the leadership, technical governance, quality assurance and operational delivery of maintenance and calibration services across the Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program.\nThe role ensures compliance with ISO 17025 (NATA) requirements, contractual obligations and Defence customer expectations while driving continuous improvement, workforce development and technical excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead maintenance and calibration operations to deliver safe, compliant and efficient support services.\nEnsure compliance with ISO 17025 (NATA) accreditation requirements, contractual obligations and Raytheon procedures.\nManage and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians through coaching, mentoring, performance management and capability development.\nOversee maintenance prioritisation, work scheduling and resource allocation to achieve customer delivery targets.\nManage relationships and performance of external technical support providers and subcontractors.\nCollaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Quality and Customer stakeholders to resolve complex technical and operational issues.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.\nSupport the introduction of new capabilities, technologies and maintenance methodologies.\nProvide technical governance and oversight for support and test equipment maintenance activities across program locations.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nEssential\nDiploma, Advanced Diploma, Trade Qualification, Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications or related technical discipline.\nDemonstrated experience leading technical maintenance, calibration, logistics or engineering support teams.\nStrong understanding of workforce planning, performance management and operational delivery.\nUnderstanding of quality management systems and regulated technical environments.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.\nDesirable\nExperience operating within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment.\nExperience supporting Defence or aerospace programs.\nExperience with NATA accreditation processes and audits.\nExperience as a NATA Technical Assessor.\nKnowledge of metrology, calibration management, or test and measurement systems.\nJoin a team that delivers real-world capability to the Australian Defence Force while working alongside some of Australia's leading technical and engineering professionals.\nAt Raytheon Australia, you'll have the opportunity to lead talented people, influence critical Defence outcomes, and build a rewarding long-term career in a growing industry.\nIf you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career access your next mission by clicking the “Apply” button or contact us at \nRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
