We have an immediate opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Goleta, California\nWhat You Will Do\nWrite manufacturing plans and instructions in accordance with engineering specifications, quality requirements, safety needs, and security requirements. \nGenerate Bills of Material (BOMs). \nParticipate in tooling reviews and provide evaluation and feedback of tool designs.\nReview hardware for compliance; generate work/rework/repair documentation; perform troubleshooting to support production activities.\nDetermine the causes of defects and improve processes through updates to work instructions, tooling, process, programs, or equipment; present results of investigations to peers and management at Corrective Action Board (CAB).\nTroubleshoot to support production activities and project delivery.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.\nEngineering experience. \nQualifications We Prefer\nWorking knowledge of military and commercial manufacturing processes.\nWorking knowledge of ERP and MES systems, SAP/ CMES experienced preferred.\nKnowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience in manufacturing processes and/or assembly of mechanical and electronic assemblies. \nExperience in reading technical drawings as well as using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) for daily communications, tracking, and documenting manufacturing processes for assembly\nExperience or knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Gage R&Rs, Capability Studies, Design of Experiments (DOE) or other quantitative continuous improvement tools.\nExperience in a production environment closely teaming with all levels of manufacturing stakeholders.\nBudgeting and presentation skills.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
