Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world.\nWithin Manufacturing Engineering, the Engineering Design Support (EDS)Team assists external suppliers by answering their questions related to product requirement drawings across all Raytheon sensors and select effectors teams.\nThe EDS Team is looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to our team.\nThe EDS Team works primarily with Raytheon’s supplier base to safely resolve design issues, ensuring quality parts are delivered on time. We collaborate with a wide scope of disciplines, including but not limited to, program engineering, supply chain, quality, sales, and engineering at other companies. Daily work is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding.\nThis job is well suited for engineering professionals desiring exposure to a wide range of commodities such as;\nMechanical Assembly\nMachined, Forged, Casted Components\nHarness / Cable Fabrication\nCircuit Card Assembly\nGeneral Electrical Components\nThis position is an onsite role for the following location: McKinney TX.\nRelocation assistance is not provided.\nWhat You Will do:\nReal-time technical support with manufacturers to ensure design requirements are clear and correct.\nTroubleshooting drawing issues involving materials, paints and finishes, welding and brazing, GD&T, marking, and testing as they pertain to different commodities.\nDaily interfacing with Raytheon subject matter experts and responsible engineers as required.\nCommunicating technical issues across functional areas and documenting technical details.\nIn-person meetings with Raytheon engineers and external manufacturers at local facilities.\nEncourage RTX’s supplier base to engage with our team at the earliest possible phase of production.\nDefine the appropriate Universal Commodity Code (UCC) to accurately categorize parts for procurement.\nCreate Supplier Change Request/Notification (SCRN/SCR) records within cPDM for program review.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience in the following;Manufacturing or mechanical design in a manufacturing environment\nUse of 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ProE, CREO\n\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
