Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThe Material Operator C performs material control functions including, but not limited to, receiving, inspecting, delivery, material movement, storing, issuing packaging, and shipping.\n*Starting Wage: $20.50*\n**2nd Shift - 2:30PM - 11:00PM - Andover, MA. This is an onsite position.**\nWhat you will do:\nReceives material by unloading carriers, verifying paperwork, visually checking for damage and performing data entry transactions into a computerized business system.\nInspects material utilizing standard test equipment, hand tools and other mechanical tools.\nPerforms solderability testing on incoming and obsolete stores material.\nUnpacks material for storage or delivery to work centers, and moves materials as directed.\nTransports material within the facility. May, occasionally, transport between Massachusetts locations.\nCounts and weighs, measures, sorts, packages, and labels material for inventory, storage, issue, and release to manufacturing.\nPerforms basic electrical inspection of purchased components to written procedures.\nPerforms the induction step.\nPackages materials in compliance with SPI (special packaging instructions), or other documented procedures.\nPerforms related data entry transactions for required task.\nAssists in physical inventory as directed.\nAssembles shipping containers and packages product for shipment according to contractual requirements.\nLoads, braces, and secures outgoing shipments onto carriers.\nCleans, services, and maintains assigned tools, equipment, machinery and work areas.\nControls and releases tools and equipment to the work center, calibration lab and the respective tool cribs.\nPerforms general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.\nMaintains records, moves materials and follows safety rules in performance of duties.\nPerforms other similar duties as required or directed.\nMachines, Tools, and Equipment used, includes but not limited to: Utilizes electronic, power, and manual equipment for receiving, inspecting, storing, kitting, product movement, packaging, and shipping of material, tooling and equipment.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum 1 year experience in handling moving and processing inventory.\nAbility to obtain InterimSecret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.\nThe hourly rate for this role is $20.50. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
