Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nRaytheon’s Ground Based Effectors Department is currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer I - GBE to work on multi-disciplined teams supporting the design and/or production support of our products and subsystems. The products support US Government and international customers.\nThese positions support product lines based in Tucson, AZ, and may require domestic and international travel to suppliers, Raytheon facilities, and customer sites. This position will be an onsite role.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, for tactical missile systems and equipment in accordance with system requirements.\nCollaborating with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical issues. \nSupport the factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, domestically and internationally.\nInterface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.\nWork with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.\nSupport and participate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.\nSupport technical data package updates and/or variances.\nSupporting First Article Inspection process (FAI), work alongside Quality engineers in support of that in addition to Raytheon Source Inspection (RSI), work instruction reviews, material dispositions, and root cause investigations to production issues.
