This position resides in the Hardware Mechanical Engineering Airborne Sensor RF Design Department. We are looking for self-starting candidates to perform mechanical design and documentation of electro-mechanical assemblies, coordinate with and visit suppliers throughout the US, and support our manufacturing facility in Forest, MS. The candidate is expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure the overall design goals are met.\nWhat You Will Do:\nExperience with PTC Creo Parametric CAD software or other CAD tools.\nWorking knowledge of GD&T principles and their application for design documentation and fabrication.\nWork within a multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for:Housing design\nEquipment packaging\nLiquid cooling systems\nInterconnect layouts\n\nOperate under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, with latitude to present technical solutions for assigned tasks.\nFrequent interaction with IPTL, Program Management, Supply Chain, and external partners.\nCompany travel up to 35% required.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree or a minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience, to include any combination of the following: related discipline AND 2 years of engineering experience to include experience with PTC CREO Parametric, SolidWorks or other CAD design tools.\nAbility to obtain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required after the start date.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nKnowledge and understanding of materials and fabrication methods.\nFundamental understanding of statistical concepts and their application to development and production processes.\nUnderstanding of mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.\nAbility to provide production support, including use of basic measurement tools.\nAbility to draft communications, create, and deliver presentations.\nAble to work independently as well as part of a team.\nExperience supporting the design and integration of mechanical products and assemblies.\nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nKnowledge of Mechanical CAD design and electronic design.\nAbility to travel between North Texas sites, Forest, MS, and for supplier visits.\nWhat We Offer:\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
