Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX.\nThe Raytheon Space and Airborne, Power and Digital (SAPD) Department consists of more than 150 engineers working collab­oratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide innovative solutions for controlling product motion, including space and air launched vehicles used by a variety of end users who depend on the quality and integrity of our systems. Our systems include electronic processing units, harnessing design, and other components for interfacing with the vehicle and packaging the control assemblies. Due to the highly cross-functional nature of these sys­tems, we are constantly looking for talented engineers with a sub-system solution mindset.\nWhat You Will Do:\nSupport the design and development of high-speed digital hardware for aerospace products and associated test equipment\nCollaborating in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems\nHolding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts\nWhat You Will Learn\nYou will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to perform mechanical design and development activities. You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nMust be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related (STEM) major and actively\nMust have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.\nExperience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO or equivalent\nExperience with Engineering Analysis and Simulation software and programming tools such as MATLAB and Python\nExperience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects\nQualifications We Prefer\nPreferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.\nExperience in mechani­cal or electrical design, engineering, and analysis\nExperience in manufac­turing methods and pro­cesses, including ma­chining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding\nExperience in mechani­cal drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing\nPrior internship or co-op, and/or hands-on experience with club/team (i.e. baja/formula racing, robotics, rocketry, EV, RC/UAV, etc)\nWhat We Offer:\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
