Applicants must be mechanically gifted, demonstrate attention to detail and safety, and provide strategic and critical products to our war fighters. Job will be performed in the state-of-the-art factory for large scale missile production which is located on the Redstone Arsenal.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform assembly, modification, and checkout of ordnance weapon systems.\nHandle warheads, pyrotechnic devices, and complete ordnance weapons systems.\nWork with computer systems and applications.\nPerform hardware movement in factory utilizing advanced robotic automation.\nMust be able to follow all documented processes and procedures involving assembly and focus on proper material handling is always adhered to.\nWilling to work with explosive items\nOperate pneumatic and manual tools.\nCapable of using manual torque tools, torquing values more than 250-foot pounds.\nAbility to stand for long periods.\nAbility to lift and carry 28lbs\nFollow detailed work instructions and detailed processes to ensure hardware conformance.\nSupport and champion Lean Manufacturing in all processes and areas of responsibility.\nWilling to complete necessary training to improve skills.\nWilling to participate in meetings to acquire knowledge necessary to assist in continuance of production operations in an accurate manner.\nAbility to provide work assignments and instruction to team member operators as needed.\nProvide directions to other team members during completion of assigned tasks\nThe above includes but is not limited to making sure that all documented processes and procedures involving assembly and a focus on proper material handling are adhered to.\nThis is a 2nd shift, onsite position.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nHS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience\n4 years of experience in assembly or related field\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
