The installation, maintenance, support, and monitoring of the network infrastructure will be performed. Candidates must have solid background supporting networks and have an active US Secret Security Clearance to be considered. This role is in Tucson, AZ and the role will be onsite at our facilities there, to work in classified computing areas (Relocation Eligible). This role is in Collateral areas.\nWhat you will Do:\nMaintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.\nWork in developing technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors etc.\nWork with network management software platforms.\nMay propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings aligning with future requirements factoring in redundancy and required network uptime.\nPrepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation. Where no documentation exists, assist in developing documentation.\nProvide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.\nAssist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support.\nWillingness and availability to work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.\nMust be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures.\nWhat you will Learn:\nYou will apply your Network Engineering skills to defense-oriented programs.\nObtain Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is highly desired within a year.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field\nExperience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.\nActive and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
