Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. \nRaytheon is looking for an experienced Program Operations Manager (POM) or Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Advanced Programs (AP) Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) team supporting a portfolio of programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership.\nIn this role, you’ll be the liaison between Operations, Supply Chain, Growth program leadership, engineering and the supply base. You’ll execute the Program material strategy at our suppliers’ facilities to ensure our suppliers are ready to support our upcoming increased rate. In addition, this team will serve as the liaison for the internal supply chain team, program engineering, program leadership, and supply base as the point of contact inside the supplier to assist with any delivery or technical concerns.\nThis position supports production efforts and requires us to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment where successful material strategy execution is a key contributor to overall program success.\nThis position is primarily an onsite and traveling working location role.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead OSC short and long-term cost, schedule, execution planning, forecasting, and productivity.\n\nLead sourcing, capital, and capacity strategies to ensure supplier’s ability to deliver more, cheaper, and faster.\n\nDevelop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.\n\nIdentify supply gaps and strategies to address\n\nDemonstrate strong business acumen in managing budget, schedule, and resource plans.\n\nDeliver clear verbal and visual presentations that convey bias for action to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and customers.\n\nEnsure cross-functional collaboration and support escalation efforts to remove barriers, align teams, and achieve program objectives.\n\nParticipate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance\n\nMonitoring and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS\n\nFlow down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans\n\nTravel to key suppliers to support program growth strategy\n\nLiaison between operations, supply base, supply chain, engineering, and Growth program management weekly on status of supplier capacity and investment\n\nCoordinate with internal supply chain, engineering, and program management team on any technical or delivery concerns with path to solution strategy\n\nAbility to travel domestically 50-75% per the RTX travel policy\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience\n\nMinimum 6 years’ experience in supply chain, finance, operations, project management, and/or program management role\n\nExperience managing supplier performance relative to financials, performance metrics, and/or contract compliance\n\nActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.\n\nU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\n\n Qualifications We Prefer:\nOperations and/or Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry\n\nSupplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)\n\nExperience with government regulations (i.e. FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)\n\nExcellent reporting skills and experience leading and/or participating in cross functional teams\n\nLeadership experience developing and/or mentoring junior team members, as well as developing and implementing staffing strategies\n\nMPM Level 4 (or higher) and/or PM Level 7 (or higher) Certification\n\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
