Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Power Electronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. The engineer will contribute to the design, development, analysis, test, and integration of power conversion hardware across a wide variety of applications including airborne, space, radar, and next-generation power platforms. This P2-level role is ideal for engineers with early-career experience who are ready to take technical ownership of subassemblies and work closely with senior engineers to deliver high-performance, high-reliability power solutions.\nWhat You Will o\nDesign and develop power conversion circuits including AC/DC, DC/DC, servo/motor controls, filters and power system architectures.\nCreate schematics, perform component selection, and support PCB layout for power boards.\nPerform detailed analysis including SPICE simulation, worst-case analysis, derating, reliability assessments, and thermal modeling.\nDevelop magnetics designs (inductors, transformers) including performance modeling and winding specifications.\nApply emerging technologies including SiC and GaN devices to achieve high power density and high efficiency.\nSupport EMI/EMC compliance through simulation, design techniques, and testing aligned with MIL-STD and aerospace standards.\nExecute hands-on lab testing including bring-up, debugging, characterization, and validation of power hardware.\nDevelop test plans, procedures, and documentation to support verification across development stages.\nCollaborate with systems, digital design, mechanical/thermal engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams.\nContribute to requirements development, traceability, and design documentation.\nSupport root-cause analysis and production issue resolution.\nParticipate in design reviews, trade studies, and IRAD / technology maturation tasks.\nQualification You Must Have\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in power electronics design, analysis, or test (work experience, co-op, or internships accepted).\nExperience with switched-mode power converter topologies (buck, boost, flyback, half/full bridge, PFC, motor control).\nExperience with simulation tools such as SPICE, LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink.\nExperience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads).\nExperience with high-power, high-voltage safety principles\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience working with aerospace/defense standards such as MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, DO-160.\nFamiliarity with DSP- or MCU-based digital control of power converters.\nExperience with SiC/GaN power devices and gate driver design.\nThermal modeling or analysis experience (ANSYS/Flotherm).\nMagnetics design experience.\nKnowledge of reliability analysis, derating methodologies, and WCCA.\nExperience taking hardware through full development lifecycle: requirements, design, integration, test, production.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
