Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThe Effector-Optics (EO) Department is currently seeking a Principal Cryogenics Systems Design Engineer with design and analysis skills, experience in cryogenics systems, component fabrication, and testing. You will work with multi-discipline teams supporting military programs in the development and production phases of infrared sensor systems.\nThis is an onsite position located in our Tucson, AZ campus.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign and analysis of high-pressure gas supply assemblies, Joule-Thompson coolers, Stirling coolers, Dewar design, Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Hermetic vessels and sealing techniques.\nTroubleshoot EO Cryogenic systems.\nWork closely with components suppliers.\nPrepare technical justification analysis reports\nOccasional travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.\nExperience in Thermodynamic, Heat Transfer Analysis and Structural Analysis.\nExperience with Pro/Engineer and/or CREO.\nExperience with fluid, pneumatic, vacuum, cryogenics systems design, analysis, or fabrication.\nQualifications We Prefer\nCryogenics System Design familiarity.\nExperience with thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis and structural analysis.\nWorking knowledge of Pro/Engineer, CREO.\nMechanical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
