Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThis position is onsite in our McKinney, TX location.\nWhat You Will Do\nCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary electrical engineering and hardware design team, with the primary objective of creating firmware solutions for new design hardware and new design controls architectures.\nArchitect and implement controls solutions with requirements and algorithms defined by subject matter experts (SMEs) in a laboratory environment.\nSimulate, implement, test, and troubleshoot firmware updates, support design reviews, and perform as an integrator of the firmware on controls systems.\nWork in the product development team environment with systems, mechanical, and software engineers.\nArchitect solutions for new business pursuits or new design systems is required.\nThis position may require occasional business-related travel.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with hardware development and/or integration and a minimum of 6 yrs of experience in FPGA Logic design and verification.\nExperience in testing products using FPGA debugging tools (such as Xilinx/AMD Vivado).\nExperience with interfaces and bus standards such as: PCIe &10/100 Gb Ethernet/Multi-gigabit serial standards (e.g. Aurora, RoCE, RIO).\nExperience designing with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGA/SoCs.Zynq, Kintex/Virtex Ultrascale and newer.\n\nExperience with architect control systems including:Translation of system level requirements into a hardware baseline.\nCollaborate with technical subject matter experts to establish new architectures.\nImplement algorithm description documents (ADDs) within the hardware.\nGenerate block diagrams and state machines of control systems.\n\nExperience hardware integrationEarly design phases with development FPGA boards.\nTransition from development hardware to tactical hardware.\nCollaborating with hardware and software teams in a lab and/or scrum environment.\n\nQualifications We Prefer\nMATLAB and Simulink w/ HDL Coder.\nExperience in low volume, high complexity development environments.\nExperience designing FPGAs, SoC’s and real-time microcontrollers.\nMulti-Gigabit transceivers, DDR and flash memories.\nExperience with GigE Vision/ HD-SDI, CoaXpress, Aurora, and/or CameraLink.\nBackground in Sensor and Read Out IC.\nExperience working on Agile Teams using JIRA.\nKnowledge of control systems such as:PID controllers.\nPWM drive loops.\nApplied non-linear controls.\n\nWhat We Offer\nA total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
