Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon is seeking a motivated 1st shift Principal Electrical Engineer to fill key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department, located in Andover MA. Candidate will lead technical root-cause investigations on the production floor. The role requires advanced, autonomous fault isolation of complex test stations across RF, digital, and AC/DC power platforms.\nCandidate must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas.\nWhat You Will Do\nSpearhead root-cause analysis on complex, multi-platform automated test equipment (ATE) down to the component level across RF, digital, and AC/DC platforms using best practices.\nMentor and guide junior engineers and technicians on advanced RF, digital, and power system diagnostic techniques.\nIdentify hardware retrofits and engineering changes to resolve systemic test equipment obsolescence and performance issues.\nThe candidate shall work with minimal supervision while maintaining test platforms to minimize station downtime.\nInterpret schematic drawings in aiding with troubleshoot of test stations and equipment.\nDocument and maintain fault logs and generate repair documentation to minimize future troubleshoot efforts improving station uptime.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience. \n5+ years of test equipment design or troubleshoot experience in RF.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nQualifications We Prefer\nProven expertise in isolating intermittent failures across mixed-signal, high-speed digital, and power distribution architectures.\nDeep understanding of RF cascading parameters, impedance matching, and advanced test equipment (e.g., VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power meters).\nStrong command of high-power AC/DC distribution, line conditioning, analog control loops, and safety interlock systems.\nExperience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies\nExperience with CORE principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies \nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
