Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nPerform structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies as part of an integrated engineering team.\nPerform load calculations, static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, buckling, and vibration analysis as applicable.\nEvaluate structural integrity using classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).\nDevelop FBDs, load paths, interface loads, internal load distributions, and structural response to applied loads.\nDevelop, review, and validate FEA models, including idealization, mesh, boundary conditions, load application, and result interpretation.\nAnalyze metallic and composite structures, including joints, fasteners, lugs, and load-transfer mechanisms.\nPrepare and review strength check notes and formal stress reports, ensuring technical accuracy and traceability.\nIdentify technical risks, challenge assumptions, and provide sound engineering recommendations and solutions.\nLead technical problem solving, root-cause analysis, design trade studies, and structural optimization.\nReview/approve analysis performed by other engineers and provide technical guidance and mentoring.\nSupport structural testing, analysis-test correlation, and aircraft certification activities.\nCollaborate with Design, Loads, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, and Certification teams and global engineering organizations.\nDrive process improvements, automation, standardization, and knowledge sharing.\nOwn assigned technical deliverables and support schedule, cost, OTD, FPY, and other engineering metrics.\nDemonstrate strong engineering judgment, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality work under aggressive schedules.\n Basic Qualifications\nBE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.\n12-16 years of relevant aerospace structural analysis experience.\nStrong knowledge of solid mechanics, structural mechanics, machine design, and aircraft structures.\nGood knowledge of metallic and composite materials and structural analysis.\nStrong understanding of structural load paths, failure modes, and structural response.\nExperience with Nastran/Patran, HyperMesh, or equivalent FEA tools.\nKnowledge of fatigue, damage tolerance, buckling, and structural substantiation.\nKnowledge of aircraft design, materials, manufacturing processes, and certification requirements is desirable.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nExperience in technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional/global team collaboration.\nProficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; scripting/automation skills (Python/MATLAB/VBA) are desirable\nWE ARE REDEFINING AEROSPACE.\nSome of our competitive benefits package includes:\nTransportation facility.\nMeal coupons\nGroup Term Life Insurance.\nGroup Health Insurance.\nGroup Personal Accident Insurance.\nEntitled for 18 days of vacation and 12 days of sick leave annually.\nEmployee scholar program\nWork life balance\nCar lease program\nNational Pension Scheme\nLTA\nFuel & Maintenance /Driver wages\nMeal vouchers\nAnd more!\nNothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
